Flipped Class Applications

For the 2012/13 school year, we will be implementing several more flipped classroom models. We used an application process to select the teachers and classrooms for this arm of the iAchieve Project. Fifteen teachers across the district spent time at the beginning of their summer break to research flipping your classroom and submitted applications.

Last week we reviewed and scored the applications in order to make our selections. There was a wide variety of grade levels being represented and lots of great innovative ideas on how they would implement a flipped class model using iPads. Our flips will cover classrooms in first, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.

Now the hard part for Robyn and I - we have to set up all of the devices and plan our 3 day training. Lots to do but it will all be fun!
